Bangladeshi knit products fair in Canada
A single country fair of Bangladeshi knit products began in Toronto, Canada on Tuesday, says a press release.
Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BKMEA) has organised the fair under the auspices of Trade Facilitation Office Canada and Canada Bangladesh Business Council.
Senator Mac Harb, Bangladeshi Acting High Commissioner to Canada Syed Masud Mahmood Khondokar and BKMEA President Fazlul Haque, among others, were present at the inauguration of the fair at Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
A total of 31 member organisations of BKMEA are showcasing knit products at the show.
The fair will play a significant role in attaining the $550 million export target set by Export Promotion Bureau for the current fiscal year, the BKMEA said.
BKMEA organised similar fairs in US in 2005 and in Germany in 2006.
