2 students held for snatching

Police yesterday detained two students of Dhaka Polytechnic Institute on charge of snatching Tk 10,000 from an admission seeker after two days of the arrest of 35 students with sharp weapons from their possession.
The detained students are Shaon and Atiq of Latif Hostel.
Tejgaon Industrial Area police sources said Shaon, Suman and Atiq beat Mominul Islam, an admission seeker from Savar, at around 1:00pm and snatched the money from him.
Mominul complained to the college authorities about the incident who in turn informed the police of the matter.
Police picked up Atiq and Suman from Latif Hostel in the evening.
Earlier on Tuesday night police arrested 35 students and recovered one sack of sharp weapons from the dormitories.
Officer-in-Charge of Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station Omar Faruq told The Daily Star that they arrested two of the three accused students and were looking for the absconding Shaon.
