3 killed in road crashes

Three people, including a woman and her daughter, were killed and 12 others injured in separate road accidents in Dinajpur and Pabna in two days.
Our correspondent in Dinajpur reports: A woman and her 11-year-old daughter were killed and two others injured in a road accident at Pachbibi in Joypurhat yesterday.
The dead were identified as Shahida Begum, 35, and her daughter Chhabi Begum, 11.
The accident took place when a Joypurhat-bound passenger bus hit a rickshaw van on Joypurhat-Hili highway at Koktara, killing Shahida on the spot.
Chhabi succumbed to her injuries on the way to Pachbibi Upazila Health Complex.
Our correspondent in Pabna adds: An elderly person was killed and 10 others were injured in a road accident on Chatmohor-Vangura highway at Natunpara at Chatmohor in the district on Tuesday.
The accident took place when a passenger bus rammed a human hauler, locally known as Nasiman.
The dead was identified as Shukur Ali, 60.
Among the injured, the condition of Jeher Ali Mollah, 55, Tofazzal Hossain, 50, Shamsul Alam, 45, Mukul, 40, Ibrahim Hossain, 60, Usman Ali, 55, and Najma Khatun, 30, were stated to be critical. They were undergoing treatment at hospitals in Chatmohor and Vangura.
