10 hurt as AL men attack BNP rally

At least 10 people were injured as Awami League activists attacked a BNP rally at Nandigram upazila headquarters yesterday.
Local BNP called the meeting to protest attack on its lawmaker Mostafa Ali Mukul allegedly by AL activists at Kahalu upazila headquarters on Thursday.
The AL men also damaged the car of Mukul, a parliament member from Nandigram-Kahalu constituency.
When contacted, district AL President Momtaz Uddin declined to say anything about the incident.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Nandigram Police Station said no case in connection with the attack on BNP rally was filed with the police station as of 8:00pm yesterday.
