Dakhil students to take 2 exams in 2011

The government has decided to take examinations of two subjects at Dakhil level of madrasa education under 'creative question method' in 2011.
The students will have to take the exams on Bangla and Islamic History in the newly introduced question pattern, says an official handout yesterday.
Meanwhile, examinations of all subjects in classes VI, VII and VIII of general education system will be brought under the new method in 2009 academic year.
Introduction of creative question method in phases instead of the existing questioning system is one of the steps taken by the government to bring a qualitative change in the education system, the handout reads.
Reviewing the timetable, the government has taken several decisions to implement the earlier decisions in this connection, it added.
As per the earlier announcement, the examinations of two subjects -- Bangla 1st paper and Religious Studies -- will be held under the creative question method from 2010.
The students, who are going to sit for the SSC exams in 2011, will have to take their exams on four subjects, including Bangla 1st paper and Religious Studies, under the new system.
The two subjects are geography and general science for the students of arts group, business introduction and general science for commerce students and chemistry and social science for those of science group.
National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB), Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education and all secondary and higher secondary boards, madrasa board and technical education board will take necessary steps in this regard.
