BYLC launches youth leadership programme
The inaugural ceremony of 'Building Bridges through Leadership Training', the 2nd month-long leadership training programme of Bangladesh Youth Leadership Centre (BYLC), was held at Biam Foundation in the city yesterday.
Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique was present on the occasion as the chief guest, says a press release.
Ehsan Ul Fattah, secretary to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Principal of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College Rokeya Akter Begum were also present.
A total of 30 students were selected from applicants from over 92 schools and colleges for this award-winning programme.
They will attend after school leadership training sessions three hours a day and six days a week.
US Embassy in Dhaka is providing full tuition scholarship to the students to participate in this programme.
BYLC's concept and teaching methodology were originally developed at Harvard.
Shammi S Quddus, co-founder of the programme, and Ejaj Ahmad, president of BYLC, also spoke.
