Death anniversary

Today is the 26th death anniversary of Barrister Saleh Uddin, a Language Movement veteran and one of the organisers of the War of Liberation, says a press release.
He was elected member of the Pakistan National Assembly in 1970 with Awami League ticket and played an important role as an organiser of the War of Liberation in 1971.
Later he joined the National Awami Party (NAP-Bhasani) and became vice president. He was also founder of the Bangladesh Justice Party.
On the occasion, a Qurankhwani will be held at his village home in Faridpur. Prayer will be offered at his graveyard and a milad mahfil will be held after Asr prayers at his son's house at 131/1 Uttar Bashabo in the city.
