Painting on children’s issues

A painting event for children was held in Tangail town last Thursday. The theme was children's issues.
Tangail unit of National Children's Task Force (NCTF), an NGO, organised the programme at Shaheed Smriti Poura Udyan in association with Bangladesh Shishu Academy, and NGOs UPAMA and Save the Children Australia.
A total of 60 child members of NCTF took part in the programme and painted on a range of issues like child labour, child abuse, child trafficking, early marriage etc.
Among others, Faruque Alam, Tangail manager of Save the Children Australia, NCTF adviser Shahidul Islam Shanta and UPAMA chief executive BA Siddiqui Shahin attended the programme.
The programme was a part of preparations for a dialogue between children and a cross section of people and government officials at the Zila Shishu Academy (to be held on May 25), organisers said.
