Killer Babu gets life in arms case

A court in Narayanganj yesterday sentenced Sundar Babu alias Killer Babu, a top terror of Shyampur, to life imprisonment in arms case.
Justice Sheikh Golam Mahbub of Special Tribunal handed down the verdict in a crowded court.
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested Babu from near Dhaka City Corporation on December 14 last year.
Following Babu's confession, Rab recovered a loaded shooter gun from one Shahidullah's house at Lalkha area in Fatullah.
Rab Deputy Assistant Director Hafizur Rahman filed a case under Arms Act with Fatullah Police Station in this connection.
Several murder cases were also filed against Babu with different police stations.
