Bangladeshi's body retrieved from zero line in Satkhira
Body of a Bangladeshi cattle trader who was gunned down allegedly by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) Monday morning, was retrieved from the zero point iGhona border in Satkhira Sadar upazila yesterday.
He was killed on Joynagar border in Swarupnagar police station in North 24 Parganas district, opposite Ghona border.
Villagers near the border recovered the body as it was lying unclaimed, BDR said.
The victim, 20 year-old Zahangir Hossain, was son of Enam Hossain of Baikari village in Satkhira Sadar upazila.
On contact, Maj Kamrul Hasan, operations officer of 41 Rifles Battalion, confirmed the incident.
