Six Galachipa AL leaders get death threat from outlaws
Six Awami League (AL) leaders in Galachipa have received death threats from a gang of outlaws belonging to Charam Panthi.
Gajalia union AL president Eusuf Gazi, vice president Abdur Rab Miah, union leaders Abdur Razzak, Ismail Howlader, Chandu Dactor and Jalil Gazi got threats from the outlaws by letters on Saturday.
The outlaws demanded Tk 1.5 lakh to Eusuf Gazi, Tk 1 lakh from Abdur Rob Miah and Tk 50,000 each from others within 15 days of receipt of the letter, otherwise they threatened them with the dire y.
On contact, the Officer-in-Charge of Galachipa police station said they would necessary action 'as soon as possible'.
Meanwhile, the family members of the AL leaders are now feeling insecure after the threat.
