Rajakar sued for killing in 1971
Bother of a martyred freedom fighter filed a murder case against a rajakar for killing his brother during the Liberation War.
The accused, Keramat Ali Howlader, 64, of Sanyasi village under Rampal upazila of Bagerhat district, killed freedom fighter Fazlur Rahman on November 4 in 1971, said Fazlur Rahman's younger brother Matiar Rahman, who filed the case as complainant with Rampal Police Station on Friday.
Keramat Ali Howlader, a former chairman of Mollikerberh union parishad under the same upazila, killed Fazlur Rahman after looting his shop and a sum of Tk 8,000 from there, the complainant stated in the case.
Keramat Ali is now involved in BNP politics, the complainant said.
Rampal Police Station Officer-in-Charge Shahidul Islam Shahin said he would take action against the accused after proper investigation.
