'Nab attackers of Gafargaon newsman within 24 hrs'

Journalists at a rally held here yesterday gave an ultimatum to the administration to arrest the culprits who attacked a journalist working at Gafargaon within 24 hours.
They threatened to go for a tougher agitation programme if their demands are not met and submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister through the Deputy Commissioner of Mymensingh.
A gang of attackers allegedly loyal to a lawmaker from Gafargoan indiscriminately hacked Gafargoan upazila correspondent of Dainik Samokal Abdullah Al Amin Biplob in College Road area in the upazila town on April 11. He is now undergoing treatment at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH).
A case was filed with Gafargoan Police Station against six attackers including Sajib, president of Gafargoan Poura BCL and Biplob, former vice-president of upazila unit of BCL on April 12.
But the criminals are moving freely threatening local journalists with life, newsmen told the rally.
