Bitumen bailing plant in Mongla EPZ soon
A Singapore-Bangladesh joint venture Company will establish a bitumen bailing plant in Mongla Export Processing Zone.
The company, Eastern Petroleum Bangladesh Limited, will invest 6.11 million dollars to set up its plant and will produce asphalt/bitumen, said a press release.
It will also create employment opportunity for 426 Bangladeshis, including six foreign nationals.
An agreement to this effect was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (Bepza) and the company in Bepza Complex In Dhaka yesterday.
Member (Investment Promotion) of Bepza Prasanta Bhushan Barua and Syed Serajul Huq, chairman of Eastern Petroleum, signed the agreement.
