Amader Pathshala celebrates Pahela Baishakh
Students of Amader Pathshala, an educational institution for disadvantaged children at Mirpur in the city, yesterday celebrated Pahela Baishakh, the first day of Bangla New Year amidst festivity.
Their programmes included a colourful rally, exhibition of paintings distribution of greetings cards and sweets to guests, and cultural function.
Singer and lyricist Krishnokoli, Arup Rahee, and Headmaster of the school Abul Hasan Rubel along with 160 students of the school took part in the rally.
Cultural group Somogeet performed the cultural function that included recitation, musical soiree and drama.
The annual publication of the school magazine 'Praner Haat' was also launched on this occasion.
