Oil shoots up

Oil prices jumped on Thursday, continuing to draw support from a smaller-than-expected rise in crude reserves in key energy consumer the United States, analysts said.
New York's main futures contract, light sweet crude for May delivery, gained 1.63 dollars to 51.01 dollars a barrel.
Brent North Sea oil for May delivery advanced 1.37 dollars to 52.96 dollars.
