Jt forces raid fugitive BDR men's houses
Army, Rab, CID and police personnel yesterday jointly raided abandoned houses of six fugitive BDR members in Lalbagh area and talked to people residing around Pilkhana.
Around 125 members from these organisations conducted the raid for more than four hours but failed to recover any ammunition and find out any absconding mutineer involved in Pilkhana massacre on February 25-26.
The government on Tuesday declared Tk 50,000 bounty on a single BDR member while around 950 jawans are still absconding.
Meantime, a Dhaka court yesterday placed two rickshaw-pullers on a five-day remand while sent six others to jail in a connection of the BDR incidents.
Sources said that army personnel engaged in their departmental investigation mainly led the raid while the Rab, CID and police aided them.
A CID official said they also talked to a number of people during the raid to gather information about what they knew regarding the mutiny.
