U-16s face UAE today
Buoyed by a 9-1 thrashing of Palestine, Bangladesh will take on hosts United Arab Emirates in their second match of the AFC Youth (Under-16) Championship today.
The Group D qualifier will kick off at Bangladesh time 6pm at the Military Physical Education Centre ground in Abu Dubai.
Bangladesh, top of the group with maximum three points, are eyeing at least two wins in the six-team competition but they will be put to the test against a strong home, who are looking forward to record their first win.
UAE shared a 2-2 draw with Uzbekistan in the opening round while the other first round match between neighbours Turkmenistan and Tajikistan ended in a 1-1 draw.
Bangladesh will face Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in their remaining matches on October 22, 25 and 28 respectively.
