Guardians protest fee hike

Guardians of the students of Udayan High School in the city staged a demonstration in front of the school gate yesterday protesting fee hike.
Agitating guardians took out a procession demanding cancellation of all increased fees, including session, development, examination and readmission, and fees for syllabuses, diaries and identity cards.
Talking to reporters, they alleged that the school authorities have increased around 33 percent fees this year from the previous years, adding that students had to pay Tk 8,800 last year, but they are now asked to pay Tk 11,700 this year.
