Fire breaks out at warehouse of city garment factory
Huge quantity of clothes and accessories were gutted in a fire at a warehouse of a garment factory at West Hazipara in the city yesterday.
The cause of fire could not be known till filing of this report at 8:00pm.
Fire brigade and police sources said the fire broke out at the tin-shed warehouse on the top floor of the five-storey building of Super Sign Apparels Ltd at West Hazipara on Rampura TV road at about 4:45pm.
Fire fighters of six units rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze after one and half hours of efforts.
Enamul Haq, sub-inspector of Ramna Police Station, said the workers, however, managed to get down from the warehouse.
