'Bayern no longer favourites'
Bayern Munich, who fell to their second defeat in three matches at the weekend, can no longer be considered favourites for the German title, club president Franz Beckenbauer claimed on Monday.
Jurgen Klinsmann's side were dominated 2-1 by Hertha Berlin on Saturday, that loss coming after last month's 1-0 defeat to Hamburg.
Bayern are lying fourth, two points behind new leaders Hertha Berlin, leaving Beckenbauer to question their championship credentials.
"After three games and two defeats I have to say that Bayern are no longer favourites for the title," the German football legend wrote in his column in Bild.
"There are no longer any favourites,' he added.
"The five or six top teams in the league can take the title."
