Alam-Pranab pair lifts Fazle Sobhan bridge trophy

Bahar-e-Alam and Pranab Kumar of Ghorashal lifted the prestigious Khandokar Fazle Sobhan Trophy when they won the National Pair Bridge Championship final at the NSC Tower on Saturday.
Tutul and Tipu became runners-up in the meet. After two qualifying sessions and single session semifinal 14 pairs moved to the final. A total of 43 pairs from across the country took part in the two-day bridge competition jointly sponsored by City Bank and Prime Bank.
Former president of the Bangladesh Bridge Federation (BBF) Farooq Sobhan distributed prizes among the winners at the closing ceremony. BBF president Mofazzal Hossain and general secretary Mesbaur Rahman Khan were also present on the occasion.
