Jatiya Rabindra Sangeet Sammilan Parishad, Comilla holds its biennial conference

Artistes perform at biennale conference of Jatiya Rabindra Sangeet Sammilan Parishad's Comilla unit.

Comilla unit of Jatiya Rabindra Sangeet Sammilan Parishad held its biennial conference recently at the Bir Chandra Nagar auditorium in the town, says a press release. The programme included recitation, dance, group and solo performances of Tagore songs.
On the second day, a seminar titled "Bangladesh in the 21st Century and Before the Golden Jubilee" was held with Shantanu Kaisar, the unit-president, in the chair. Noted cultural personality Aly Zaker was present as chief guest. Abu Ayub Hamid presented the keynote paper at the seminar while Shahriar Akhtar and Sharif Hossain took part in the discussion.
Veteran local actor Shariful Abedin was honoured with the 'Parimal Dutta Memorial Award' at the programme. A 33-member executive committee was declared at the conference with Shantanu Kaisar as president and Abdul Malek as general secretary.
