Faruk assures traders of all-out help to keep market stable

Commerce Minister Col (retd) M Faruk Khan yesterday said the government would extend all-out cooperation to businessmen to keep the prices of essentials stable.
“The government has planned to strengthen the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) to ensure smooth supply of commodities to the local market and monitor the price trend,” he told the leaders of Foreign Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Ficci) at his office.
The Ficci leaders, led by its president Waliur Rahman Bhuiyan, urged the minister to ensure power and gas supply, declare Sunday as government holiday and ensure the security of entrepreneurs.
The commerce minister assured the Ficci leaders of improving the power supply situation soon.
