PM shocked at Australian wildfires
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed her deep shock at the loss of lives and properties caused by the devastating forest fire in the state of Victoria, Australia.
In a condolence message to Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia Kevin Rudd, the premier said, "the magnitude of the damage is deeply distressing and the fatal loss has touched the people of Bangladesh."
She prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and conveyed her heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Hasina also prayed to the Almighty to give strength to the survivors to overcome the losses and start all over again, the message said.
