Mymensingh Polytech students go berserk
The agitating students of Mymensingh Polytechnic Institute ransacked the campus yesterday protesting reforms in their examination system.
The agitating students also put up a barricade on Dhaka-Mymensingh road which disrupts vehicular movements for about two hours.
On information, police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. Later, the college authorities held a meeting with the students to resolve the crisis.
When contacted, principal of the college Md Abdur Razzaq told that the students were infuriated as they could not understand the decision of the board properly. Any student who will fail three times in final examinations in any semester will be allowed as 'irregular examinee' but the students understood that their studentship will be cancelled for such failure that created confusion among them.
