BCL men's bid to loot fish in Khulna foiled
Police foiled an attempt to loot fish from a pond of Khulna Azam Khan Government Commerce College on Saturday by a faction of local unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL).
The incident occurred at 6:30am when the activists of the faction loyal to KCC Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque hired seven fishermen to net fish from the pond.
BCL activists of other faction loyal to city AL General Secretary Mizanur Rahman brought the matter to notice of the college principal.
On arrival of police, BCL activists who made the attempt to loot fish from the pond left the spot.
When contacted, OC Ataur Rahman of Khulna Sadar Police Station confirmed it.
