Mymensingh-North Bengal rail link restored

Rail communications between Mymensingh and North Bengal were restored early yesterday after 17-hour frantic efforts by the Bangladesh Railway.
The rail communication was disrupted due to derailment of six compartments of a passenger train at Begunbari Crossing in Sadar Upazila on Dhaka-Mymensingh route on Thursday morning.
Railway sources informed that the communication has become normal at 1:00am after successful rescue operation. No casualties were reported in the accident, Railway sources added.
