A gang of criminals beat up the settlement officer and vandalised furniture at his office at Dhunat in Bogra yesterday.
Dhunat Upazila Settlement Officer Alim Uddin told newsmen that a gang of 6-7 criminals led by Rahmat Ali of Gopal Nagar in the upazila attacked him and ransacked furniture at his office when as pee government rules he prepared documents regarding ownership of a land which went against Rahmat.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Dhunat Police Station confirmed the news, but said no case was filed in this regard.
