One killed, 52 hurt in Sirajganj road accidents

A man was killed and 52 others were injured in two separate road accidents on the Dhaka-Bogra highway at Raiganj in the district yesterday morning.
An unidentified old man, aged about 65, was killed on the spot when a truck hit him from behind while he was crossing the road in Hatikumrul bus stand area at about 7:30am.
In another accident, a Dhaka-bound bus from Bogra collided head-on with a covered van due to dense fog in Bhuiangati Kamarpara area at around 5:30am.
Six other vehicles, including buses and trucks that were behind them, also collided, leaving 52 people injured.
The injured were rushed to Shahid Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital in Bogra, Sirajganj Sadar Hospital and different local clinics.
