Bogra Jubo, Chhatra League leaders allegedly grab govt lands
Some youths posing as leaders and workers of Bogra district Jubo and Chhatra League have occupied some government lands in different areas of the town.
Bogra district Jubo League General Secretary Sagor Kumar Roy and district Chhatra League President Shubhashish Poddar Liton have however denied their involvement with the grabbing.
It has been learnt that after the Awami League took power, some youths claiming to be the leaders and workers of the two organisations grabbed government lands at some important places of the town.
Bogra town Swechchhasebak League leader Ibrahim Pagla's brother Abdul Jalil occupied Railway land at the west side of the Rail Station at Seujgari where tin-shed houses were erected yesterday.
Another piece of land has been grabbed at Chawk Sutrapur area in front of Jubilee High School under the leadership of Shamim and Shahin.
Railway Estate Officer Abdul Aziz has filed cases with Bogra Sadar Police Station and Bonarpara GRP Police against Abdul Jalil, Shamim and Shahin in this regard.
