Solo art exhibition of Khurshid Alam begins in Beijing

A 15-day solo art show of New York-based Bangladeshi artist Khurshid Alam Saleem began at the Artist Village Gallery in Beijing on January 4.
The exhibition, titled 'Image of nature', was inaugurated by Bangladesh Ambassador to China Munshi Faiz Ahmad, according to a message received here yesterday.
Amy Feldman and Peter Fasnacht of the embassy of the United States to China and Hu Xiaowei of Beijing Olympic Fine Arts Organising Committee-2008 and Zhang Yi, director of Liaoning International Cultural Exchange Centre in Beijing, attended the inaugural ceremony.
Artist Khurshid Alam Saleem has graduated in fine arts from the Institute of Fine Arts of Dhaka University.
Saleem was awarded Olympic medal and torch as an invited artist from the US in Beijing Olympic-2008, the press release added.
