BDB to work with new govt to curb graft, terrorism
Former president AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury yesterday said Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh (BDB) will work with the newly elected government to eliminate terrorism, corruption and poverty from the country.
B Chowdhury, who recently resigned from Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh (BDB) as its president following his party's defeat in the December 29 election, said his party has accepted the people's mandate and will give support to the new government taking up programmes for the welfare of the people.
He said this at a view exchange meeting at Srinagar in Munshiganj to find out the reasons behind his party's defeat in the 9th parliamentary elections.
Acting Secretary General of the party Mahi B Chowdhury called on all to work together with the new government to strengthen democracy.
BDB leaders Joynal Abedin Bir Bikram, Manzur Rashed, Jahangir Alam and Ashraf Hossain Hasu also spoke in the programme.
