Man murdered in Pabna

A man was killed and two others, including a former UP chairman, were injured in separate incidents in Pabna yesterday.
A gang of unidentified miscreants stabbed Md Shaheb Ali, 38, and Alauddin of village Dighi Boailmari indiscriminately at Chartarapur in Pabna Sadar.
They were rushed to Pabna General Hospital where Shaheb Ali succumbed to his injuries.
Alauddin was shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital as his condition deteriorated.
Local BNP leaders said the victim was their party men while AL leaders denied their involvement in the incident.
Police said previous enmity might have been the reason behind the killing.
Meanwhile, former UP chairman and BNP leader Md Abdul Hai was beaten up by his rivals at village Manikhat at Sujanagar.
Sources said Hai was assaulted by the AL workers. He was rushed to Pabna General Hospital.
