10kg explosive seized in Benapole

Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) seized about 10 kilograms of explosive from a village under Sharsha upazila in Jessore early yesterday.
Acting on a tip-off, Rab conducted a drive at the house of one Nasir of Gogar Kaliani village of Benapole and seized 10 kgs of Potash and Sulfur.
Police and locals said the explosives were smuggled into the country to commit subversive acts.
Major Sarwar Hossain of Rab told The Daily Star that the materials are generally used in making bomb.
