Destiny, Leonine put pressure on Biman
Bangladesh Biman dropped one point yesterday but retained pole position in the Dutch-Bangla Bank First Division Chess League with 26.6 points.
Biman defeated I2 Soft Solution 3-1 at the Chess Federation hall room but after eight rounds, their lead was trimmed to just half a point with Destiny 2000 and Leonine putting pressure on the leaders.
Destiny and Leonine are at second place with 26 points after their wins over Air Destiny (3.5-0.5) and Dhaka University (2.5-1.5) respectively.
In other matches, Pritam-Prism blanked Friends 4-0, Titas beat Sultana Kamal SP 3-1, Dhaka Metropolitan CC beat Faith 3-1, Overseas School of Chess beat Madaripur 3.5-0.5 and Farashganj drew with Mohakhali.
