Criminals kill driver, take away autorickshaw

Muggers stabbed the driver of a CNG-run autorickshaw to death and took away his vehicle at Rampur in Sadar upazila on Wednesday night.
The victim was identified as Sabuj Hossain, 25, son of Abul Kalam Patwari.
Police said a gang of criminals intercepted the autorickshaw at Rampur at about 10:00pm when Sabuj was returning to Laxmipur town from Dasherhat.
The gang stabbed the driver indiscriminately, leaving him critically injured, and took away the vehicle and his money. Later, pedestrians took him to Sadar hospital where he died at about 11:00pm.
