Condolence meet on Nurul Islam today

Sramik Karmachari Oikya Parishad (Skop) will hold a citizens' condolence meeting in memory of late Md Nurul Islam, president of Bangladesh Trade Union Kendra, at the Central Shaheed Minar in the city at 3:00pm today, says a press release.
Prof Khan Sarwar Murshid, Dr Hameeda Hossain, Barrister Shafiq Ahmed, Editor of The Daily Star Mahfuz Anam, Prof SMA Faiz, Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique, poet Syed Shamsul Haq, women's rights activist Ayesha Khanam and Rubi Rahman will take part in the discussion.
Nurul Islam, also a veteran politician, who was badly burnt in a mysterious fire at his residence on December 3, died in a hospital the next day.
