One murdered over land dispute

One person was murdered over land dispute and leasing of a local launch station at Dakkhin Baliatali village of Muladi upazila in Barisal yesterday.
The victim was identified as Manan Sikdar, 45, son of late Rashid Sikder.
Police, witnesses and hospital sources said a group of identified miscreants attacked Manan while he was going to Nomor Hut yesterday. They chopped him and left him beside road in critical condition. Locals rescued Manan and sent to Muladi health complex.
He succumbed to his injuries within an hour after admission in the hospital. Before his death he gave a dying statement, which was recorded by police.
