Reception for Lear Levin

A reception will be held to honour Lear Levin, who in 1971 filmed the footage used in Tareque and Catherine Masud's "Muktir Gaan." The reception will be held at Shawkat Osman Auditorium, Central Public Library today at 10:30 am, says a press release. Audiovision, with the support of Channel i and Citycell is holding the reception.
Tagore exponent and President of Chhayanat, Dr. Sanjeeda Khatun; eminent artist Mustafa Monwar; and Channel i Managing Director Faridur Reza Sagor will be present on the occasion as special guests. The guests will be joined by members of 'Bangladesh Mukti Shangrami Shilpi Shangstha' -- a group of artistes who went from camp to camp during the Liberation War to boost the morale of refugees and Freedom Fighters -- featured in the film "Muktir Gaan."
At the end of the programme, "The Making of Muktir Gaan" -- a 40-minute behind-the-scene footage including an interview of Lear Levin -- will be screened.
