Khulna under tight security

Khulna metropolitan city has been brought under tight security with deployment of uniform and plainclothes forces particularly in two-star and three-star residential hotels following serial bomb blasts in Mumbai, Indian commercial hub.
The posh hotels brought under tight security and constant surveillance include Hotel Castle Salam, Hotel Royal International, Hotel Western Inn, Hotel Millennium and Hotel Tiger Garden.
Security forces have started carrying out their operation, including body search, with the help of metal detectors and close-circuit cameras.
KMP Assistant Commi-ssioner Md Anisur Rahman said all the rooms of these hotels and luggage of boarders and vehicles parked at the gateways are also being thoroughly checked to ensure foolproof security not only in the hotels, but also in other important installations in the city.
Movements of inmates of all madrasas and residential halls of academic institutions are also being closely watched, he added.
