Mymenisngh joined Faridpur, Rangpur and Habiganj in the finals of the 29th National Cricket Championship when they dumped Dhaka out of the competition with a three-wicket victory in the Tangail Zone final yesterday.
Opener Abdul Majed scored a sparkling 110 to help Mymen-singh reach 208-7 in 48.5 overs in reply to Dhaka's 207 all out at the Tangail Stadium.
In other zonal matches, Chittagong (95-1) stormed to a nine-wicket victory against Laxmipur at Noakhali, Joypurhat (101-3) recorded a comfortable 7-wicket win over Panchagarh (100) at Dinajpur, Khulna (94-5) beat Satkhira by five wickets at Jessore and Patuakhali (105-9) snatched an exciting one-wicket victory over Jhalokathi (103).

Bangladesh Boys Club maintained their impressive run in the Second Division Football League with a 1-0 win over Dhanmondi Club at the Birshreshtha Shaheed Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur.
Polash broke the deadlock for Boys after 73 minutes as the Gopibagh side took their tally to 27 points. Dhanmondi stuck to 14 points after 14 rounds.

UNB adds: Bachelors SC edged Uttara Hockey Club 2-1 in the only match of the Green Delta Insurance First Division Hockey League at the Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium.
After a barren first half, Naser and Taleb Reza scored one goal each for the winners. Mohammad Jissa reduced the arrears for the losers.
