City road named after mayor Khoka

A city road and a newly established community centre of Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) were named after freedom fighter and DCC Mayor Sadek Hossain Khoka, says a press release.
Lt Gen (retd) Mir Shawkat Ali Biruttam unveiled the name plaques of 'Bir Muktijoddha Sadek Hossain Khoka Sharak' from Ram Krishna Mission Road to Kamalapur ICD terminal known as Balur Math and 'Bir Muktijoddha Sadek Hossain Khoka Community Centre' at Gopibagh in the city yesterday.
At the unveiling ceremony Shawkat Ali urged all freedom fighters to engage themselves in building the nation being enlightened with the spirit of the Liberation War. He also cited the contribution of Sadek Hossain Khoka in the Liberation War.
DCC commissioners, freedom fighters and high officials of the city corporation were present at the ceremony.
