Bangladesh environment investor-friendly
A 25-member delegation of Bangladesh-British Chamber of Commerce called on Foreign Adviser Dr Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury at Foreign Ministry yesterday.
Shahgir Bakth Faruq led the delegation during the meeting where UK High Commissioner Stephan Evans was present.
The foreign adviser explained to the delegation the government's policies to attract investments from expatriate Bangladeshis.
To facilitate this, he said a special 'Economic Zone' would be set up in Sylhet.
Speaking to the media the delegation leader said that the current government has created an investor friendly environment, which, they hope, would continue in future.
Chowdhury added that Bangladesh had great potential and if things go right it can become a 'middle-income' country.
