Release of Hasina demanded

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) staged a demonstration on the Dhaka University campus yesterday protesting the rejection of the bail prayer of Awami League President Sheikh Hasina by the Supreme Court.
Around 100 BCL leaders and activists took out a protest procession and held a rally at TSC intersection at around 5:30pm.
The student leaders alleged that a vested quarter is hatching conspiracy against Hasina so that she cannot take part in the election.
They vowed to forge a tough movement across the country if the AL chief is not released unconditionally soon.
BCL leaders Mahfujul Haider Chowdhury Roton, Tarek Al Mamun, Sohel Rana Tipu and Sajjad Saqib Badsha spoke at the rally.
