SKorea forcasts FTA with EU by year's end
South Korea's trade minister forecast Sunday that Seoul could agree a free trade pact with the European Union by the end of the year despite a dispute over tariff concessions in the auto trade.
Speaking ahead of a fourth round of talks scheduled in Seoul on October 15, Trade Minister Kim Jong-Hoon said both sides had to compromise.
"Both sides will be able to make a breakthrough in the negotiations over car trade," he told Yonhap News Agency.
"We want to speed up talks over the issue... both sides should have to give and take in the negotiations."
