Involve people in uplift plan

Speakers at a workshop on Active Participation by Different Stakeholders in ICDP Project held at CHT Development Board conference room yesterday stressed on people's participation in uplift programmes to accelerate the pace of development in the hilly region.
Supported by GoB and Unicef, CHT Development Board organised the workshop chaired by Integrated Community Development Project (ICDP) director Tapan Kanti Ghosh. Sheikh Altaf Ali, secretary of CHT Affairs Ministry addressed as chief guest while it was attended by Md Asraful Islam, vice-chairman of CHTDB and ADC (revenue) Biswajit Bhattacharya as special guests.
They also stressed on proper coordination of development organisations.
Some 150 participants including UNOs of different upazilas, heads of government departments, UP chairmen, NGOs representatives and journalists took part.
