PBCP cadre held for killing trader in Sirajganj

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) yesterday arrested a cadre of the outlawed Purba Banglar Communist Party (PBCP) named Hafiz Uddin Sheikh at Paikora village in Tarash upazila.
Hafiz was arrested from his house at the village for his alleged involvement in killing a trader named Abul Kalam Azad at Katagari Bazar in the same upazila Saturday night, Rab said.
On interrogation, the arrestee confessed to his involvement in the killing. The victim was shot dead by a gang of PBCP cadres numbering about 25 by pushing a pistol inside his mouth at around 8.00 pm, he said.
