Bremen suffer injury woes
Werder Bremen will be without goalkeeper Tim Wiese, striker Daniel Jansen and midfielder Aaron Hunt for Wednesday night's Champions League game against Panathinaikos.
Goalkeeper Wiese, who broke into the Germany squad earlier this month, damaged his leg when he slipped collecting a cross in training on Monday.
"It looks like a torn muscle," said Bremen coach Thomas Schaaf.
"There is no point in risking him for the game on Wednesday."
