Eid specials on BTV

On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, Bangladesh Television has arranged weeklong special programmes. Today, a special musical programme will be aired at 11 am. The programme, Eid-er Gaan, has been compiled by Anzir Liton and produced by Rafiquddin Ahmed.
The 50-minute programme includes performances by artistes Ankhi Alamgir, Anima de Costa, Ruksi and S.D. Rubel. Tithi will host the programme.
Special TV play Monobikkhan Jantro will be aired on October 8 after the 10 pm news. Written by Anisul Haque, the play has been directed by Sheikh Riaz Uddin Badshah. The story centres on a mind-reading device, which can reveal the truth. Srabonti, Mahfuz and Dolly Zahur play the lead roles.
Several other special shows including a dance and a musical programme will be aired on October 8.
The dance programme, Swapno Tarar Chhandey, will highlight performances by Tarin, Chandni, Mamo, Ratan and Swapon. Kabirul Islam Ratan is the dance director of the show.
The musical programme, Elomelo Batashey, has been produced by Md. Sharif Hossain and compiled by Syed Fazle Alam Swapon. The show features renditions by Mohammad Abdul Jabbar, Rafiqul Islam, Samina Chowdhury, Kumar Biswajit and Alam Ara Minu.
